Booking SystemBooked

The Booking System allows a user to store a person’s identification, address, physical, employer,  demographics, guardian, and optionally, fingerprint information, as well as images into a temporary storage system. Once positively identified, this temporary record is posted to a known persons database. Persons already in the known persons database will have their records updated with the most recent information and images. You can store unlimited Addresses, Aliases, Dates of Birth, Employers, Guardians, Personal Identifiers, License Numbers, Social Security Number, Telephone Numbers, and most importantly, Images.

The system accommodates adults and juveniles and supports their segregation throughout the booking process and their subsequent record storage. The system also allows authorized users to treat select juveniles as adults.

Ease of Use

Multiple Options' Booking System has been extensively field-tested and has been found to be
extremely easy to use. A great deal of effort has gone into streamlining the data entry process.
The program makes extensive use of drop-down lists, pop-up calendars, default values, etc.
All of the drop-down list system tables will be available to the administrative user to customize
as desired. Because the lists supplied adhere to National Incident Based Reporting Systems
(NIBRS) standards, most of the work will have already been done for you.

Images

The booking system provides the ability to capture and store digital photographs during the
booking process. The number of images allowed are limited only by  available disk space,
not by our software. You are able to associate the following information to each image:

1) the aspect; e.g. frontal, profile, tattoo, mark, scar, gang colors, etc.
2) a memo or note describing the image
3) a NIBRS personal descriptor (default data is provided, but you can modify it to meet your needs)
4) the eye wear status; e.g. Glasses, No Glasses,
5) the age of the person at the time the photo was taken

These images are stored as Binary Large Objects (BLOBs) in the database itself, not as separate files.
You can, however, export any image as a JPEG (.jpg), Bitmap (.bmp), or Tagged Image File Format (.tif) ,
on demand. Images can also be imported and exported via the Windows clipboard or disk files.
Currently JPEG, BMP, and TIFF formats are supported. If you require other formats just let us know.

Image Acquisition

The image acquisition module, show in figure 2, has some very impressive features. The "portrait crop" feature, for example, makes cropping your photos effortless and creates professional, consistent images by standardizing the aspect ratio of your photos for you. The red box pictured in figure 3 is fixed in shape and size and can be moved over the photo. The user simply releases the mouse when satisfied with the image and the program crops it for them (figure 4). Many images can be added to a person’s record. In addition to the normal frontal and profile views, tattoos, scars, marks, and other characteristics can be acquired and stored along with a descriptor and memo. Images are usually acquired live from a combination image capture board and video camera. A low cost solution is to use a device such as a Snappy frame grabber with your camera. Because we provide a standard TWAIN interface to the photo acquisition system, many devices are supported. These include digital cameras, flatbed scanners, etc .

Legacy Data Import

We will provide a separate quotation for each type of fingerprint card you that you would like to use to load your existing fingerprint data. Electronic importation of textual data must also be quoted separately. Legacy photographs and typographic data can be entered without any additional programming. Photographs can be scanned, brought in from digital cameras, or any other device which provides TWAIN support, or imported directly as bmp, jpg, or tif files.
