officers in validating Vehicle Identification Numbers, generates all supporting
paper work, and accounts for all revenue collected during an inspection.
The entire data entry process has been streamlined as much as possible.
Pop-up calendars, data defaults, and drop-down lists of choices are everywhere.
NIBRS
compliant lists of Vehicle Makes, State Abbreviations, Street
Names, and Zip Code lookups, to name a few, help make
data entry fast, accurate, and easy.
VINCheck
interfaces with popular VIN validation software packages such as
NICB's VINassist
. If you don’t currently use
a validation package we also offer a subscription service.
Because the VIN inspection process generates revenue, VINCheck
boasts very strong security and accountability features. Every transaction
requires a validated employee logon and generates an audit trail for complete
accountability. Daily activity reports document fees collected. Any fees
being waived require pre-authorization by a supervisor and a documented reason. The
system supports three user levels; clerk, inspector, and
administrator, each with different security permissions to allow you
to grant rights appropriately.
The software’s search and
reporting features are also very powerful. An easy to use, yet
flexible search form is provided to help users query archived
inspections. The software also allows users to print many detailed
and summarized reports.
